This downtown Ridgway project includes a small guest residence, studio and garage, as well as master-planning for the main house, to be built in the future.  While the photo/film studio rises slightly to gather north light for it’s sun-sensitive interior, the buildings of this first phase are held low to allow views and light for the future main house.  The owner has been deeply engaged in the design process and will participate in many aspects of construction, including stone masonry and preparation of the fire-charred cedar “Shou Sugi Ban” siding.
